An official remix off the CD single (2001).
Lol way to repost my edited scan without credit while it’s still only a page or two back on the Blood+ feed. How hard is it to reblog, seriously?
Ooc: My friend actually sent this to me on my phone so I wouldn’t have known. I posted simply to share it.
And yet you still haven’t credited the OP for her original post of it? Even though she scanned it in from her own physical copy of which she paid and owns?
You wouldn’t have this particular edit of this image to post if it weren’t for her, so how about instead of being a prick you just edit the post with proper credit now that you know where it came from?
Coupling track off Youjeen’s Japanese solo single Daydreamin’ from 2002.
A special booklet-sized sticker that was included with initial pressings of the first vocal collection CD.
Albert Mayer, hand mirror, beginning of the 20th century
Naoko Takeuchi, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
This mirror was designed by the influential sculptor/designer Albert Mayer for the well known German firm WMF. The Würtembergische MetalwarenFabrik was, around 1900, the world’s largest producer and exporter of household metalware, mainly in the JUGENDSTIL style.
He’s well know for this mirror.
I was like “OH MY GOD SOMEONE FINALLY MADE A REPLICA THAT LOOKS LIKE THE MIRROR.”
And now I’m just disappointed because it’s the original and most definitely too rare and expensive for me to be like I’M FINDING THAT MIRROR DAMN IT. It’s so much more incredible than I thought it would be. ♥
I was completely ready to find an etsy or ebay link when I scrolled down. I didn’t know it was inspired by a real mirror!
I will never get over how amazing it is that Naoko incorporated the things she liked into the series, and we’re still finding them out!
Translation: Naoko copied another artist’s design for her own work and is creative and wonderful for doing so because Sailormoon.
There are definitely going to be people out there far more knowledgeable than myself and I welcome additional contributions to this community. It’s having followers dedicated enough to scrutinize what gets posted here that keeps this place going. ^^
Nah, dude, it’s your diplomacy and genuine selflessness that keep it going. Your regular followers should realize by now that your grasp on the Japanese language is sufficient enough to know what you’re talking about, especially when considering that most of the news bits you post are based on what you’ve gleamed from Japanese sources (to which you always provide a link if one is available). It’s also pretty clear that you fact-check and cross-reference shit down to the T before publishing a statement.
A solid english news outlet is important for a series like GANGSTA. that’s still relatively unknown to international audiences, so its online community is pretty fucking lucky to have an experienced, credible adult like yourself running one.
